What is the Best Way to Order a Land Title Search?

The easiest way for you to order a Land Title Search on our site is with a legal description. This may be in the form of PLAN BLOCK & LOT, PLAN & UNIT (condo), TITLE NUMBER, or LINC NUMBER. If you do not have the legal description, there is an additional search required to obtain it.

Searching by Municipal Address

When searching by address, Edmonton, Calgary (except condos), Strathcona County/Sherwood Park, Airdrie and Lethbridge produce immediate results and your credit card will be charged $25.00. All other municipalities are processed by our staff in the order they were received. Some municipalities charge an additional fee for legal descriptions. Because of this, we will not charge your credit card until we have confirmed total cost and you have an opportunity to approve the transaction (via email). Once you have approved the cost, a payment link will be sent to your email.

Builders Liens

In Alberta, a builder's lien is a legal claim registered against a property by a contractor, subcontractor, or supplier who has provided labor, materials, or services to improve the property but has not been paid for their work. The lien is a security interest in the property that gives the claimant the right to seize and sell the property to recover the unpaid amount.
