Agent for service changes
Every Alberta and extra-provincial corporation must always maintain an active agent for service. When the agent is appointed, replaced, resigns, or their address changed, the corporation files a ‘Notice of Agent for Service’ with Corporate Registry. All these changes must be reported promptly by filing an Agent for service chang. The newly appointed agent must be an individual with an Alberta address who can accept legal documents on the corporation’s behalf.
