Other Business Services
Keep an existing corporation current with Corporate Registry.
You must submit an annual return to an authorized Corporate Registry service provider. A reminder will be sent to your corporation’s registered office one month before the anniversary of incorporation. If you do not file the annual return, your corporation may be dissolved.
Annual returns can be processed online or brought into our office.
A corporation formed in another province, territory or federally must register in Alberta before it carries on business here. We prepare the Statement of Registration and the Notice of Agent for Service and file them with Corporate Registry, online or from our office.
If your corporation’s address has been changed, you must update the Registries with the current address within 15 days. Address change can be filed online or brought into our office by submitting a ‘Notice of Change of Address’.

Every Alberta and extra-provincial corporation must keep an agent for service on file with Corporate Registry. Appoint a new agent, change the current one, or record a resignation or revocation through our online system or by visiting our office.
If your corporation has been struck and you wish to revive and bring it back to active status, you can submit the revival request through our online system or by visiting our office.
To submit and file dissolving of a corporation voluntarily through our online system, please click here or visit our office. The following steps need to be complete before a dissolution:
1. Vote to dissolve the corporation: you and other shareholders or directors can vote if your corporation has stopped doing business and doesn’t have any debts.
2. Sell all property and pay all debts: if the corporation still has liabilities, you and the other shareholders must appoint a liquidator to deal with the corporation’s assets and settle those debts to the best of their ability.

NUANS Search is a name search system that compares a proposed corporate name or business name with names in a database of existing corporate names and trademarks. NUANS Report is a seven-page document generated by the NUANS name search system. It lists the corporate names, business names and trademarks most similar to your proposed business name. A NUANS search report is mandatory for incorporating in Alberta and recommended for trade name registrations.
