Ordering Instructions

There are 2 ways you are able to order your drivers abstract when out of province.

Situation 1 (In Person via Designated Agent)

This option is available if someone other than yourself is able to be present in the office on your behalf. In this case the following steps are required:

• The person wanting the drivers abstract must complete the Drivers Abstract Consent form for the authorized person to bring into the office.
• The authorized person must complete the Drivers Abstract Statement of Intent form.
• The authorized person must present acceptable identification such as:
  • Drivers Licence or ID Card
  • Citizenship card or Permanent Residency card
  • Passport
  • Canadian Armed Forces ID card

Situation 2 (Via Mail)

This option is available when no one can be present in the office on your behalf. In this case the following steps are required:

• This situation requires the person needing the drivers abstract or other search product to provide the following (via a tracable delivery - i.e.: Express Post, FedEx etc.) to our office:
  • A completed Notarized Request for Personal Driving and Motor Vehicle Information form.
    For court certificates or other search products you iwll also need to indicate:
    • What specific information is being requested
    • What the information is being used for
    • Whom the information will be released to
  • A clear copy of an acceptable form if ID:
    • Drivers Licence or ID Card
    • Citizenship card or Permanent Residency card
    • Passport
    • Canadian Armed Forces ID card
  • Certified Funds (Money Order or Certified Cheque) to cover the fees for the requested service. If you prefer, we also offer the option to pay by credit cards for an additional fee.
  • A self addressed Express Post envelope if within Canada (can be purchased at a Post Office) OR you could also arrange a FedEx etc. pickup once your abstract is ready to ship.
